CAR PARK
Competitors may use the golf club car park, an overflow facility is also available and is located at the far end of the main car park. Any competitors who can car share are requested to do so. The Scottish Golf Union and Buchanan Castle Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to cars.

CATERING
Coffee, tea and morning rolls will be available from 06.30am. Bar snacks & meals will be available all day until close of play. All catering is at the competitor's expense. Restaurant meals will be available prior booking is advised.

CLUBHOUSE
The clubhouse will be open at 06.30am on each championship day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities. Please be aware the bar will not open until 11.00am.

In all clubhouse areas casual wear is acceptable for competitors, but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, JOGGING TROUSERS, FOOTBALL STRIPS SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. Shorts are permitted if tailored. Hats must be removed before entering the clubhouse. Please note that these dress regulations apply to competitors, spectators and parents attending Buchanan Castle Golf Club.

Competitors shall not be allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks or play gaming machines.

MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.

Changing facilities are available in the gent’s and ladies locker rooms. There are no lockers available. There are showers available. Competitors planning to use showers are advised to bring their own towel.

COURSE AND PLAY
Competitors will play one round of stroke play on Tuesday 3 & Wednesday 4 July. In the event of a tie a sudden death play-off will decide the championship.

Competitors must report to the SGU Championship Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting times that are shown in the official draw sheet.

Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions, pace of play guidelines and insurance certificate when registering.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that under the penalty for a breach of Rule 6-3a, if the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole in stroke play. Otherwise, the penalty for breach of the Rule is disqualification.

CADDIES ARE NOT PERMITTED AND COMPETITORS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY MUST NOT SEEK OR ACCEPT ADVICE FROM PARENTS, OTHER COMPETITORS OR ANY OTHER PERSON. NB. "Advice" is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke.

INSURANCE
Your entry fee includes cover in respect of competitor’s legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property.

PRACTICE
The club has kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round, on Monday 2 July. Competitors must contact the professional shop on t: 01360 660330 in advance to make a booking. Times are available on a first come first served basis.

Any competitor who are unable to practice on the official practice day may contact the club, who at their discretion may sanction a practice round at an alternative time.

Any competitor wishing to play more than one practice round must contact the club who will offer a discounted junior rate of £21.00 per player.

Competitors must report to the professional shop prior to starting his practice round. During the practice round only one ball shall be in play. Players found with more than one ball in play may have their practice round curtailed.

Buchanan Castle GC have a covered practice range facility which can accommodate up to 16 players as well as a short game area, putting green and par 3 course. Rates for practice balls are as follows:

25 balls - £1.50 50 balls - £2.70 100 balls - £4.80

Competitors using any of the above practice areas do so at their own risk.

TROLLEYS & YARDAGE BOOKS
Trolleys are available for hire and yardage books for purchase from the professional shop on a first come first served basis.

PRESENTATION
The championship trophies and medals will be presented at the close of play on Wednesday 4 July. All prize winners are expected to be present.

RESPONSIBILITY
Buchanan Castle Golf Club and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property during practice or on tournament days.

DIRECTIONS
Buchanan Castle Golf Club is situated near Drymen, Glasgow

From Glasgow, starting from Anniesland go along Bearsden Road joining the Switchback at the roundabout stay on the right hand lane and take the first exit staying on the right hand side of the road going towards Bearsden cross. Continue along Drymen Road for 1.4miles and take a right to join Stockiemuir road, pass through 2 roundabouts and continue for 10.1 miles and take the left following signs for Buchanan Castle Estate,

From Stirling, Drive along the A811 towards Loch Lomond for 17.8miles, stay right onto A811 and continue for 3.9miles. Turn right into Buchanan Castle Estate and follow signs for Buchanan Castle Golf Club.
